This year, the show will once again have a charity stall. The stand has
raised nearly £14,000 for charities over the years, all thanks to
your generosity. This year we will once again be fundraising for the
Wakefield Hospice.
Donating to the charity stall
Unfortunately, as has been the case in recent years, the Waste
Electrical & Electronic Equipment (WEEE) regulations limit what we can
accept for sale on the charity stall, since we would have to pay for the
disposal of any unsold large electrical and electronic items like
computers, monitors and printers.
Large items
We can accept a limited number of base units (ie. A3010s, A3020s,
A5000s, A7000s, RiscPCs and more recent systems). These should be brought
to the stand as early as possible, to allow maximum time to sell them
on.
Printers and monitors can only be accepted if an advanced buyer can be
arranged. We can not accept non-RISC OS systems.
Small items
We are happy to accept any small items (eg. memory, expansion cards,
books, magazines, software, etc). Anything remaining unsold at the end of
the event will be disposed of.
Delivering items
Items for sale on the stall can be contributed on the day. Deliveries
of goods before the Saturday of the show can only be accepted by
prior arrangement, due to the planned relocation of the
Hospice’s warehouse facility during April. If you would like to send
any items in advance, please contact the show
organisers to find the correct delivery address.
